In a career spanning over 35 years, Paul has held senior and board level positions at a number of leading consultancies in the construction and property sector and has advised on the delivery of high profile and complex projects and programmes in the UK and internationally.

A Fellow and Past President of the Chartered Institute of Building [CIOB], he is actively involved in promoting and raising awareness of key issues that affect the construction industry such as quality, building safety and productivity, and regularly speaks at industry events.

He is currently a member of the Industry Safety Steering Group and the Procurement Advisory Group, that were set up to advise the Government on Building Safety in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire.

He also chaired the CIOB’s Construction Quality Commission, which was established to investigate the issue of quality in construction and what needs to be done to improve it following the Edinburgh Schools report and other high-profile failures of quality in the industry.

He has contributed to various CIOB reports on subjects such as ‘Understanding the Value of Professionals and Professional Bodies’, ‘Project Management for Construction and Development’ and ‘Programme Management in the Built Environment’.

Paul has a Masters Degree in Project Management from the University of Reading and is an Alumni of Henley Management College.
