Full planning permission has been submitted for a mix of hotel, office, retail and residential accommodation on Horgan’s Quay in Cork. The proposed development consists of a 36,981m² office block, a 136-bed hotel, and a combined total of 260 apartments for rent. There will also be significant retail accommodation, including the refurbishment of existing protected structures.

HQ Cork is one of Ireland’s most significant and exciting urban redevelopments.
Spanning 6 acres along the River Lee, the Horgan’s Quay site’s rich history dates back to the 1800s when the Great Southern & Western Railway Station first opened there. The 6-acre site at Horgan’s Quay has a rich history with a unique riverfront setting. What were disused railway lands are being transformed into a new part of the city with homes, shops, offices, bars, restaurants and a hotel.
This major rejuvenation scheme includes 3 office blocks providing accommodation for up to 5,000 employees (Gross Area 36,981 sq. m.). These are designed to be phased for ease of delivery. For the Private Rental Market, there will be 237 apartments built across 4 blocks.

A 136 bed hotel with a rooftop restaurant will be added along with 2,285 sq.m. of ancillary restaurant and retail accommodation to service this new city enclave.
